John Wallace has more than 25 years of experience in financial services at leading financial institutions. He has held top investment and management positions at JPMorgan Securities, Bear Stearns, CIBC World Markets, and The Chase Manhattan Bank-NYC, where he worked in Latin America Corporate Finance.

Wallace is the founding chairman of Panama Gateway International Association and its predecessor. He has broad, strong, and deep connections throughout the Southeast United States, Latin America and the Caribbean that he uses to market and promote Panama and Panamanian business interests in the United States and to educate U.S. businesses on the global trade opportunities available through Panama. Wallace also is a frequent speaker and attendee at such venues as the Treasury Forum and Free Trade Zone Symposium in Panama City, Panama; Panama Week in Washington, D.C.; (formerly) the Royal Society of Fellows (Miami); The Cayman Island Bankers Association; The Florida International Bankers Association; and attended meetings of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).

After receiving a Bachelor of Arts at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn., Wallace earned a Juris Doctorate at the University of Georgia School of Law, a Masters of International Business Studies at the University of South Carolina, and graduated from post-baccalaureate studies at UNAM-Centro para Extranjeros in Mexico City, Mexico. He is actively involved in the business and cultural life of Atlanta, where he serves on the International Partners Board of the Global Commerce Council of the Metro Atlanta Chamber, is a member of the Georgia and Atlanta bar associations, and is an honorary member of the Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

John and his wife, Caroline, and their children reside in Atlanta.
